Spirulina of Orbetello Laguna Farm is produced within the commercial algal biomass plant in Federico Spacca's farm. The strain of Spirulina in cultivation has been studied in depth from a biological, ultrastructural and response point of view to light stimuli at various wavelengths and intensities.tà at the Lab of General Botany of the Department of Biology of the University of Florence. Spirulina is grown following natural methods in alkaline waters and rich in mineral salts inside photobioreactors isolated from contamination.
